So when I came home today I notice my two Orandas looking extra "close" one of them were nudging the others belly then it would turn and do the same thing. I didn't look like they were fighting. What were they doing? Is this a form of courting? As for what sexes they are I have no clue. One seems to be more round than the other while the other seem to be a bit longer and more vibrant in color.

  1. Yes it a sigh of spawning, you'll see one chasing the other.

  2. Look at both your fish for little white dots like these:

These are breeding tubercles and that one is the male.

If they are in fact breeding, you might hear some big thunks and noises because once a male goldfish decides to breed, he is going to breed.

Here is some good information about taking care of eggs and fry. Be warned that these eggs are like epoxy and will be hard to get off. Best of luck.
