Questions about my car stereo?!?!?

I had a new Pioneer deck installed about a year ago...it has adjustable options such as BALANCE, BASS, TREBLE, and LOUD, and I know how those work...but what do MID and SLA do?

MID goes in between BASS and TREBLE.  It just gives you an additional sound control for the mid-range frequencies.

SLA stands for Source Level Adjustment.  It should only appear when you have the CD player, Aux or external device selected as a source.   It allows you to adjust the relative volume between the tuner and the other source.  For example, if you switch from CD to tuner and you find that the tuner is much louder than the CD, so that you have to lower the volume each time you switch, then you can increase the SLA for the CD player so it matches the tuner's volume.

the mid is for the mid range of the eq curve. and pioneer is the only ones that put the sla in there. it has something to do with the eq but unless you have an unusual set up such as amps and subs then you probably shouldn't change any of that.
