  1. Very good for anyone, especially someone your age so congratulations! A large part of your score is how many credit lines you have and how long they have been open. I wouldn't close anything unless it's costing you money to keep an account open that you never or rarely use. It doesn't sound like you have a lot of debt either and this is great!

I have a free website I'm sure will answer a lot of your questions. There is a section called "How credit scoring works" that you should read because everything that makes up a credit score is so long I can't post all of it here. It would take up a couple of pages!!

Your credit score is made up of several different things affecting your credit history and my website contains everything I learned about credit and how it works and the best way to repair it and avoid ID theft (this happened to me) and how to protect myself! Keep that credit score up!

  2. 781 is an excellent credit score!  Especially for a 23 year old!  To get it higher...which it's already VERY high...you can close some credit cards that you don't use...or get loans paid off.  If you've never been late on a payment, which it looks like you haven't, then the only thing left that could be affecting your score is the number of open credit cards or available credit amount.  Say you have a Visa card and a Sears card....your best bet would be to call Sears and close the account.  Even having a zero balance still effects your debt possibility.  You've obviously already established and have proven that you have good payment ethics...so closing out a bunch of open stuff will give you an additional edge.
