Questions about pottery kilns?

Hi. I have a few questions. Are kilns okay to put onto carpet? Is a kiln a fire hazard? If I can't put a kiln on fire, what should I put it onto that is fire resistant and allows for ventilation? Thanks in advance for your help.

Cement floor . Yes it can be  ,if it's not properly hooked up by and Certified Electrician . Put your kiln in a Garage so you can open the door it gets very hot when it's running ;)))

Kilns are fire prof. Depence on size.There are never placed on wooden floor,carpet or any flamable flooring.Kiln should placed on bricks or cement floor.
