Question:

Questions about purchasing a salvage car?

The car I'm trying to get is a 1997 Honda Civic for $3,000

I haven't spoken to the owner yet, but once I do, what specific questions should I ask him?

Will anything bad happen to me or make me look bad? Job-wise?

If say I do get the car, and I try finding car insurance, will I be expecting high amount payments?

Will registering the car under my name and license give me a hard time?

Off-topic questions:

I have been building my credits by paying off my bills for about 4 months now, would the bank allow me to get a car loan for $3,000?

  1. First of all, I'd reconsider purchasing a car with a salvage title. Typically, salvage title cars are worth at least of of a clean title car, so have it checked out well. Also Banks and Credit Unions aren't to fond of financing cars with salvage titles, ask them first. Also it's easier to get a car loan on something newer and with less miles.Good luck.

  2. Hope this resources is useful for your question,It is working for me.Have a look,it is free.http://carloan.onlineidea.info/free-car-...

  3. Usually, banks don't loan for anything older than 7 years old, more or less.

Salvage?  Shoot, there are better deals with non-salvage cars.

    Keep trying.

  4. First make sure the state you live in will allow a car with a salvage title to be registered. Most won't. Or you'll need an extensive DMV inspection in order to determine if the car is road worthy. If the car is deemed road worthy, the state will issue a clean title. With a clean title, insurance won't be a problem. Insurance companies won't issue insurance on a salvage title. Before you even talk to the owner, talk to your local DMV to get an idea of what hoops your state will make you jump through. My advice: Just find a car with a clean title to buy.

  5. if this a salvage car i would NOT get this car too many problems associated

with buying a salvage car ownership registration etc
