I'm 15 and a sophomore in high school. As of now, eventually I hope to work in real esate. But I was wondering, what basic degrees do I need? Not only basic but any other degrees that may help?

  1. You need to take a course to get your real estate license. Pass a class test and usually a state test.  Really that's it.

Having a college degree will help round you out and allow you to speak intelligently to your clients about all topics.  You could always get a business degree - that would help you.

  2. v good question!    RE is all about biz, so, study biz.

and study investing and investing in RE.

you may begin practicing with the RE sales test now so that

when you go to RE school, you can get through it in a jiffy.

  3. To become a real estate salesperson, you have to take a course that is usually offered by community colleges as well as private companies.  Then you take the licensing exam.  When you pass, you then have to get hired by a real estate agency.  Be aware that real estate sales jobs are commission only.  There's no salary.  If you don't sell, you don't eat.

  4. Get your license to learn the business.  If I were you, I would become my own boss, by purchasing a few properties and renting them out.  Good luck, young man!

  5. To be a real estate agent, you just have to take a short course and pass a licensing test.  No college is required.  I took a 2 week course one summer while in college, the course and test are very easy.  (I was going to college for my BS in Biochemistry at the time, and I had a part time job in a RE office, so I got my license so I could answer phones for the office).  If you prefer business in general, go to college for a business field degree first or at the same time.
