Questions about relocating. Please see below. (UK).?

Question

My wife and I feel like we need a change and therefore we are looking to relocate. Currently we live in North Kent. My wife has family in Lancashire. All my family live in Kent. We have various ideas. 1. Burnley. Does anyone know the areas of Burnley to avoid? 2. Other Lancashire. Any suggestions? 3. Elsewhere in Kent. Coastal maybe? 4. Somewhere between Kent and Lancashire...say half-way. Any ideas?

all of Burnley is quite bad these days ... i live quite close to it. the nicest area of Burnley is probably Cliviger, which is on the border with Lancashire and West Yorkshire. I live only like 20 minutes drive from it and there are quite alot of nice little Villages along the road out to West Yorkshire coming away from Burnley.

Other areas of Lancashire that are really nice are the many villages of Saddleworth, but things can get a bit pricey up that way, so it depends on what your budget is.

just try searching around on estate agent websites for properties in that area.

though people of Saddleworth may be annoyed at me claiming it is in Lancashire, when it historically lies in Yorkshire and is now in Greater Manchester, but it's a part of the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, which was part of Lancashire ... i hope that makes sense
