  1. Right now, it sounds like you are Pushing the P2 to it's limits. As long as you are careful, I'd say stick to what you are doing.

If you want a little more, get a better box that fits the highest of the enclosure specs for the P2. Or get a bigger amp, and in turn, a Bigger sub, w/ a RMS that can handle it. I'm a huge fan of sticking to one sub, and finding an amp that can push it Hard, while at the same time, not pushing it Too hard.

The money you spent on buying a second sub, you could spend on upgrading. A second 15 would add more movement, and slightly more pressure, but obviously, Individually pound each one half of what it's doing now. So, the money for the addition of a second 15" could be used for a box or a bigger amp/sub set-up.

One other thing, you say the amp you have now is 500w. Are you sure that your amp will be stable by adding another sub. That will change the ohm load going into the amp. Look into this diagram following what you are doing now and what you plan to do.. http://www.crutchfield.com/learn/learnin...

  2. i say you get the pair and put them in an oversized ported box to make up the difference for the power loss....

  3. it all depends on how your going to wire it. if you have a two channel you can bridge a single sub. if its a mono amp then i would say one sub would be louder.

  4. well it all depends on the watts rms.

  5. I AGREE WITH JASON....IF ITS A TWO CHANEL AMP BRIDGE IT IF NOT THEN ITS NOT WORTH IT. IF ITS ONE CHANNEL KEEP 1 15in  ON THERE AND GET A POWER CAP

  6. As long as you use the proper enclosure for both than yes you can see a significant gain by adding a second sub , by doubling your sq in of cone area and enclosure volume ( and port volume if so equipped)

    good luck.
