1) Does anybody know where I find a list of enlistment jobs for the Air Force?

2) What do you call jobs at Air Force? (I know about MOS and Rates) but that's about it.

3) In the Air Force, do you get to choose where you're going to get stationed at?

4) If you get stationed to a place where your relatives live? How often can you go out of the base and visit them?

5) What are the benefits and downsides of being a reserve?

6) What are the benefits and downsides of being on active duty?

7) How does duty go about in the Air Force? (I know the Navy goes like 6 months in sea and 6 in land) Do you get shipped somewhere out of the country or do you just stay in one station?

8) How often do they see combat?

  1. Honestly, any advice received here would certainly be in question.  It is probably best to speak to a recruiter and then check the information received.

I can say from joining the military that you do need to take the ASVAB in order to see what "jobs" (MOS) you qualify for.  You also have limited selection as to where you are stationed if you go active duty, although they do ask you where you would like to be stationed and try to accommodate it.
