Just had a couple of questions about the Asiatic Lion.

What is it's ecological niche? (paragraph description if possible)

How does the Asiatic Lion obtain nutrients and oxygen?

What is its position in food chains?

How/Why do biologists study this organism?

What types od research do biologists carry out on this organism & what has been discovered?

What could be an area of further investigation into this organism and how could this research be carried out?

What is the future of this organism through the influence of humans? (What sort of human activities do or will affect this organism?)

If anyone could help out with any or all of those questions that'd be greatly appreciated.

holy cow. your asking everybody else to write a paper for you. get a encyclopedia, or at least go to wikipedia. some isolated questions are ok but sometimes homework is not just something to be turned in. it is designed for you get experience researching and formulating your own ideas.

Lions are interesting for the distinct social structure they have in contrast to solitary patterns for other species in the Panthera. Species adapt to avoid competition or to increase resource availability. The lion adapted for some reason into a social hunter some time before it expanded out of Africa. Conspecific competition, competition within the species, may have driven pride formation as a means of maximizing fitness.
