  1. 1.why should we try to prevent Global Warming - does not exsist

2.why should we recycle plastics - so the landfills do not become crowded with lots of plastics. Wouldn't you rather produce food with that land then make a land fill out of it because 20% of garbage is plastic?

3.why should we conserve energy - conserving energy saves our non renewable resources and saves money too, also keep our wallets fatter. When creating energy with non renewable resources, smog is created which creates acid rain. Smog can also cause asthma in children and can make you choke and have breathing problems.

  2. The answer to all these questions are the same: Because good planets are hard to find. We are a closed system. We have a finite supply of resources and we are using them at an unsustainable rate.

    Specifically:

    1. If the predictions for Global Warming are accurate, the earth will no longer support human life as we know it. The good news is the actions that are recommended will help our environment become less polluted and help our resources last longer, giving us more time to develop more sustainable energy. This is a good thing to do even if Global Warming proves to be false.

    2. Platics are made from petroleum and they don't biodegrade, they can release toxins into our soil and water supplies as they breakdown. By recycling them we use less oil and pollute less.

3.Much of our energy is generated using coal and oil. Both products pollute and are in limited supply. The worlds demand for energy is increasing and the supply is decreasing. Noone can say with absolute certainty when we will run out and there is a variety of oppinions some say as soon as 40 years. We need to use less and find alternate sources.

  3. #1. First off, there is global warming. Second, nay sayers will tell you that the earth goes in cycles. They are somewhat correct, the earth does have climate cycles. The problem is, the earth is reaching higher and higher temps. What this does is not only help the melting of the ice caps. So what does this mean? It means the ecosystem starts breaking down. The food chain is effected. Eventually, it trickles down to humans. OK so after many years animals become extinct, our food chain is messed up yet we can still live. But guess what? Each year the number of cancer related deaths & cancer cases increase, especially skin caner. Why skin cancer? Ozone depleting compounds are released in more abundance every day. The sad fact is if we stopped every bit of pollution today, it would take over thousands of years for the ozone to get back to normal.

    2. Recycling plastics is really a catch 22. What the gov't should enforce is a ban on the continuation of plastics. Most plastics, even the recyled ones, the ones you drink out of and use as sports bottles, they leetch chemicals. If you look on the bottom of a recycled plastic you will see the recycling symbol and a number. That number represents the different plastic resin used in recycling. Problem is they leetch chemicals. Canada has even started a ban on one of them, with more to come. Second problem is recycling actually releases ozone depleteing chemicals into the atmosphere. My advice use glass.

#3. Energy conservation. Oil speaks for itself. Not only in cost, but there is a theory that says by 2012 we will have reached peak oil. Which means the amount of oil in the world will have peaked. Coal is dity. And coal is used to fire most of your electricity. Nuclear is not "clean", I guess we forgot the byproduct that remains....Plutonium. Solar energy is worth more development, to help make it more affordable for home owners. Solar Panels on roofs are hooked up to your electric meter. If you create more than you use, your meter actually runs backwards. You may actually have the electric company owing you money. Wind energy. Underwater currents have been explored, think of a sort of an underwater windmill to create electricity.

  4. If global warming did not ultimately lead to an ice age, I would say just accept global warming.

We should stop producing any estrogenic plastics, and not recycle those we have. they should be burned at high temperature. But, otherwise we are consuming too much fuel.

From a perspective of global warming, however storing fuels as plastics in landfill at least keeps them out of  the atmosphere. Mostly it is because we are short of fuels and don't want to use up more, and do not want to fill up landfill with plastics that may contaminate ground water.

Conserving energy has  results.. we burn less fuel that is in limited supply, we contaminate the atmosphere, and cause global warming. But as well we want to use that energy for more important tasks.

  5. your answer to all the questions at once.this is for the americans.we are the laziest wastful people in the world. we have 5% of world population  use 25% of world oil and get this a whopping 30% of the worlds trash growing by leaps and bounds every year .because we can.....

  6. because it is dangerous for earth . mountains have glaciers they can melt.

    2. because they can't destroyable

3.because it is a need of human

  7. 1.So that things like the north pole won't melt because the Earth is becoming hotter by the day, and then Earth might be able for human life.

2.Plastic comes from things in the evniorment and to save some of that material we try to recycle plastic.

3.I really don't know the answer to this question but I am listing a website for more information.
