1) Who cut that guys stomach open in the jail when the cell phone was in his stomach?

2) why did the joker steal money from the mob?

3) did the joker really want to kill the batman because once during the movie he said he didnt.

4)why did they uncuff the joker in the jail when talking to him when he could easily get away?

5) why did the joker kill gamble.also what did he mean by saying ''why so serious?''

6) what did joker mean by''which one of you fine gentlemen would like to join out team,oh,theres only one spot left so where going to have tryouts'' Try outs for what?

7) Why did morgan freeman have two phones.when the guy went to give him his phone he had another in his pocket.

8) why did that underground place explode at the end?

1. Nobody. The joker planted it there. So when he dialed it for his "one phone call" it triggered a bomb.

2. Hes a Greedy little man.

3. No it was just all in his own little fun.

4. To let him dail his "one phone call"

5. She was frieghtened, so he mocked her by asking, why so serious? And was going to slice her mouth into a smile with his knife (like his father did to him) but the batman came in and swooped her away.

6. They were to fight and kill each other and the last one standing got to live, and work for the joker.

7. Hah, just a movie glitch/mistake, don't think to hard on that one.

1) No one cuts the stomach open, it just explode when joker made the call.. Notice the phone ringing in his stomach?

2) He steals and burn just to send a message... Just like Alfred said, "Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn."

3) He just wanna have fun with batman, remember he said "you complete me"? in the cartoon series when rumours about batman died Joker is the only one who got really mad and tried to kill the person responsible for his death because he does not have anymore fun to play around with batman.

4) Because Lt Gordon trusted Batman and he's sure he won't get away with batman around (behind him). That's why he said "It's okay everythings under control"

5) Gambol was not part of his game so its game over to him because he will be a distraction to Joker's games... Gambol is the only one who doesn't approve of Joker. When he said "why so serious" is a part of a joke before killing when he created stories about his scars as seeing the man's face looks so serious when he know he's gonna get killed with a gun pointed at him.

(Don't get the name wrong, Gambol is the mobster's name, Gamble is Gordon's son Nathan Gamble.)

6) He broke the pool stick to let them knows what he means by try outs. Two stick means two groups one of it is joker and his team the other is Gambol... He throws the other stick on the floor to show there will be only one survivor... With them dead, only one plays the game under one master, Joker. That's why those who accepted jokers offer lives, since Gambol did'nt, he's out so no one interferes in his game...

7) Part of the plan to keep the phone stays in the building so batman can kidnap the chinese mobster (Lau) who holds the keys to the money and bring him back to Gotham and delivers him to Lt Gordon... Remeber when the guards wanted to return him the phone and he said "That not mine, i"ve mine here" That phone is a device which can be use interferes with the energy, lights you know what i mean as it disable the function of the securities in the building.

8) That underground place has the system only Morgan( Lucius Fox) and Bruce Wayne is allowed to use it, its a newly build for quite sometime for testing but hasn't been used, it's designed to see people around Gotham by radioactive energy which is installed to most of the phones Gotham people are wearing at that time... (Well you should know Wayne's Enterprise is a creator which created most of Gotham's City... That's why Wayne Enterprise is so powerful in Gotham, this company is similar to Stark Industries in (Iron Man)...) So its obvious most Gotham's used phones made by Wayne Enterprise... But the system is dangerous if it's known to people who could have use it and copy the design to use it in the wrong way... So Batman ask Lucius to help him this one time because he's the only one who knows how to use it besides Bruce as he created it and for the good use to save the Gotham's people who's kidnapped in the building. Batman ensure only Lucius is allowed to program the system and after it's done Batman tells him to type his name(Lucius Fox) to ensure no one knows or use the system... That's why it explodes...

1. It was a medic who cut the guy's stomach open in the jail cell. After the guy collapsed on the floor the cop guarding the cell radioed and said, "Medic in the holding tank!"

2.The Joker was robbing mob banks to get the cops and Batman on their trail.  If there was a robbery of a bank, the police would have to go in and investigate the bank.  The mob had been running their money right under the government's nose through those banks.  By getting the cops and Batman onto the mob's trail, they would be desperate enough to hire the Joker to get them off of their trail.

CHECHEN: Who's stupid enough to steal from us?

MARONI: A two-bit whack job, who wears a cheap, purple suit.  He's not a problem--

LAU: The problem is having our money tracked by the cops.

3. The Joker did NOT want to kill Batman.  The only reason he told the mob his plan was to kill Batman was to get them to hire him.  The Joker knew that without Batman scaring the mob, who were basically running the city, he, the Joker, would never be able get the spotlight and be the best criminal he could be.

JOKER: Those mob fools want you gone so they can go back to the way things were, but I know the truth.  There's no going back.  No, you've changed things forever.

BATMAN: Then why do you want to kill me?

JOKER: *laughs* I don't wanna kill you! What would I do without you? Go back to ripping off mob dealers? No! No, no, no, no. No, you complete me!

4. Gordon un-cuffed the Joker so that Batman could have his way with him.

5. The Joker killed Gambol because Gambol openly threatened him and to show the mob that he was serious, he killed the man who threatened him.

GAMBOL: I'm calling it out on this guy! 500 grand for this clown DEAD! A million alive, so I can teach him some manners first.

By killing Gambol, the mob would take the Joker seriously and not treat him as just some "two-bit whack job."

As for him saying why so serious all the time, he was quoting his father:

JOKER: Do you wanna know how I got these scars? My father was a drinker and a fiend.  then one night he goes off crazier than usual.  Mommy gets the kitchen knife to defend herself.  He doesn't like that.  Not...one...bit.  So, me watching, he takes the knife to her, laughing while he does it.  Then he looks at me and says, "Why so serious?"  Comes at me with the knife, "Why so SERIOUS?" Sticks the blade in my mouth, "Let's put a smile on that face!" And...(JOKER looks at one of Gambol's henchmen.)why so serious?

6.  The tryouts were just a ruse to get Gambol's henchmen to turn on each other and fight to the death.

JOKER: Now, our operation is small BUT there is alot of potential for aggressive expansion! So, which one of you fine young gentlemen would like to join our team?  Oh, there's only one spot open so we're going to have...TRYOUTS!

The Joker threw the broken pool stick with the sharp edges down at the henchmen so they could use it to kill each other.

7. Lucius Fox (Morgan Freeman's character) had two cell phones to throw the security in the building off and to place one phone in the building to hack the security system, allowing Batman to enter the building without a problem.

8. I don't know what underground place you're talking about but if it's the warehouse on 250 52nd street, it's because Rachel Dawes was kidnapped and taken there and was being held hostage for Batman to choose whether he would save her or Dent.  Batman thought he was on his way to save her, but instead saved Dent because the Joker purposely mixed up the addresses.  So Batman got to Dent's warehouse in time, except for the half of his face that got blown up and the cops did not save Rachel in time, resulting in her untimely death in the explosion.

With all due respect to the previous poster, those answers a wee bit incorrect.

1) It was the Joker (or his goons) who planted a phone/bomb in the fat guys chest prior to his arrest.

2) It's all "part of the plan". Money drives everyone, especially the Mob. Why not take it all away? It's just a game to him.

3) Keeping Batman alive just allows him to aim higher with his devious plans. He presents him with a challenge worth challenging. Way more fun than "ripping off mob dealers."

4) Don't think too hard. He had a knife to a cops throat and only wanted to make a call. They gave in and undid his cuffs.

5) Why not? Gamble put a bounty on the Joker and was the most vocal about not taking him seriously. Killing Gamble stresses that he's not joking around.

6) Again, he likes playing with people. He basically told them to fight to the death and that the survivor will be allowed to live if he fights alongside the Jokers crew.

7) Oh man. This is NOT a movie error...that's so crazy to think that. He wanted to plant the original phone he turned in. He took out a second phone as he was leaving the building  to show the guards to say, "Nope, that ain't mine. I already have my phone." The guards go, "oh well" and keep it in hopes it will be claimed later. The point is, Batman wanted that phone kept in the building so he could interfere with their electronics. It's obviously a scrambling device of some sort.

Try outs meant for that one spot on the team of his men. Remember he snapped the poll cue in half. It meant they had to fight till one of them killed the other. It meant either fight for the spot and kill the other man, or both of them die.
