Questions about the upcoming NBA season (Part 10)

Who will be the best team in the League for the upcoming season?
Last season, the Los Angeles Lakers proved to the entire world that as long as Kobe Bryant is in your starting line-up, you have what it takes to win the NBA title without a doubt. However, this does not mean that the Lakers revolve
around Kobe Bryant, but that Kobe has the abilities to take players along with him.
During the 2008 NBA Finals, Los Angeles Lakers lost due to relative inexperience in their squad but the following season Kobe was able to combine the young squad that was able to win the NBA title. Though some said that it was
just luck that made them win the title in 2009, Kobe along with players like Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom were able to guide the Los Angeles Lakers to another title in 2010.
Undoubtedly, the Lakers have the strongest, youngest and the most talented squad in the NBA and most importantly they have a leader in Kobe Bryant. The ability of Kobe Bryant not only to shine individually but also to assist others
further strengthens the already strong Lakers team.
Another one of the teams that has been able to bring some big men in their squad are the Boston Celtics. Though, not young and not in their prime but still the addition of Shaquille O’Neal and Jermaine O’Neal makes the Celtics
roster a strong one. With the experience and talent that the former $100 million dollar men offer, it could very well help Boston Celtics win their 18th NBA title this upcoming season.
Who will be the first player to score 50 points in a game?
Without any questions, Kobe Bryant would be the best choice to answer this question but there are some other men in the league who might potentially reach the milestone first.
If we talk about LeBron James, then that may not be happening due to the fact that he will be sharing the team responsibilities with Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade that will most probably result in a fall in his statistics. If you
talk about Dirk Nowitzki, then according to many he might be a little old to get the job done. Though this player has the supporting cast but he doesn’t seem like scoring 50 points in a single game.
But one strong competitor for Kobe Bryant would be last year’s scoring champion, Kevin Durant. Without a doubt this player has the potential and talent to manage this. Coupled with this is the confidence he would be carrying into
the season after an impressive performance at the FIBA Championships. But Kobe according to reports would be able to achieve the milestone quicker. Some even say that he might be able to do it in the very first week of the NBA season.
However, anything is possible like last year Brandon Jennings was able to put his name as being the first player to manage a 50 point game in a single game. This year we may well be in for a surprise but as for now, Kobe Bryant
is without a doubt the best contender to achieve the feat.
New Orleans Hornets chances of making it into the playoffs?
Last year was a disastrous season for one of the most talented players in the NBA, Chris Paul. Chris Paul was able to take part in just 45 games of the NBA season. An injury to his ankle early in the season, later worsened and
required surgery. This kept him out of action for quite some time and the Hornets team was left in the hands of Darren Collison.
Missing 37 games this season like last one, would affect the Hornets a lot this season due the fact that Darren Collison is now traded away. This puts a huge amount of responsibility on his shoulders and it is important that this
player remains healthy for the 82 games due to the fact that analysts say that Hornets can only make their way into the playoffs if Chris Paul remains healthy.
