Questions about traffic violations? minors?

I rear ended somebody a couple months ago and got a careless driving ticket. I thought my dad paid it off but it turns out that we still owe $40 and the DMV suspended my license. Will my high school find out about this? How do I get my license reinstated? Will this go off my record after I turn 18? Thanks.

Pay the $40.00 that is still owed on the ticket.  Then go to the DMV and show that you paid the remainder on the ticket and pay them the reinstatement fee to get your license reinstated.  Your high school will not find out about this.  This will not go off your record @ 18 as you had a suspension.  It will be on your record for at least 5-7 years as will the accident that you caused.
