Please can you answer these:

(1) How many changes are there between Didcot Parkway and Portmouth (any station)?

(2) How much are the tickets?

(3) When you change trains do you go straight on to the next train or do you buy another ticket?

(4) How much is the student card?

  1. (1) 2 changes. Reading and either Guildford, Basingstoke or Southampton Central.

    (2) Cheap Day Return £26.30

    Standard Day Return £27.70

    Saver Return £32.00

    1/3 off these fares with a railcard.

    (3) Go straight to the next train

    (4) £24

  3. (1) Two changes:- at Reading and at Guildford.

    (2) It depends on when you are returning, a Cheap Day Return is  Ã‚£26.30, a Standard Day return £27.70 and a Saver Return £32. You need the last only if you are not travelling back the same day.

    (3) You do not need to buy a separate ticket for each leg of the journey - but remember it can be checked on each train so retain it

    (4) It's actually a Young Persons Railcard and costs £24, giving you 1/3rd of fares.
