So, I live right outside of Tampa, and Im sort of nervous about this storm, I live in a townhome that dosnt have much space without being next to a window...lol! I wanted to leave out of state, but my husband is military and they wouldnt let him!!!

Anyway, what time do you think it should hit tomorrow? I want to make sure I have enough time to take a shower in the morning? And, do you think that the power will for sure go out? If it does how long does that usually last for?

I have only lived here for two years, so I dont really know what to expect. I am deathly afraid of tornadoes becuase I have been chased in my car by one in Nebraska before...haha!!

  1. Add this to your favorites and check it often during hurricane season:

    http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/

The public advisory is the most important page to read.

  2. Fay isn't going to hit Tampa is hasn't hit Lakeland yet so y'all is safe.

  3. Don't worry you will be ok. I is just a tropical storm. not like Charlie the hurricane or anything. You may lose your power, some trees may fall over, and the wind speeds are very strong. Watch the weather, and look on the computer for times it will hit your area.

  4. To be safe, Get some canned goods, and fill up some bottles with fresh water, and freeze them. Move your food stuffs upstairs, gather blankets, a first aid kit, flashlights, battery-powered radio, cellphone, and anything else you can think of that will help you survive for 48 hours alone. And then...pray. Good luck, and be careful. Via con Dios.
