Questions about two teenage girls babysitting.

Will we expect any responses if we look reliable and keep an ad in the newspaper for a week, and post fliers around? There's one catch - we'd really prefer to both babysit (together). Is this going to be a turn off for parents? We're not asking for double the pay - but we're offering double the responsibility. Both she and I would be uncomfortable alone.

And how much is a reasonable amount? I babysit now, and get $5/per hour/per child.

  1. yeah thats good.

  2. I think around that amount sounds reasonable. Just remember, when you explain it, state really clearly that this does not equal the pay to be doubled. Add your thoughts and opinions, and set up a mini interview. If they like both of you, they'll probably hire you, and it should work out! If they say no, respect that decision, though.

  3. $5.50 or $6.50 per hour/per child will be much better
