I will like to go to a college in England cuz it is free...but I would like to know how colleges over there are...will it still be free since I am not a citizen there...will the colleges be crowded since it is free and everybody is trying to get in. do they have dorms, college homes and stuff like that. If I go to an England college And study there Can I still come to America and become what ever I studied for in England without studying for it all over again in America

  1. you will have a slightly lesser chance of being accepted, most will have their own dorms or campus, i do not know about the qualification translating over to america

  2. I'm not sure it is free for non citizens and UK citizens still have to pay for books, accommodation, food etc it is just the tuition fees that are paid. The numbers remain the same as they have a certain number of places and the exam requirements to get inreflect this so the numbers are not too crowded. If more people apply I guess the requirements go up. Most unis have student accommodation but tend not to be so campus oriented as US unis particularly th older ones (like Oxford, Cambridge, and about 5 biggest Scottish ones which are all over 500 years old) as the universtity is an integral part of the town it is in with the buildings being spread through the town as well as the accommodation.

  3. Universities in the U.K. are not free, they are not even free for U.K. citizens - tuition is subsidized for its citizen but not free!

Universities in the U.K. are very expensive, you are talking about $14,000 to $45,000 per year, for tuition alone.

Dorms in the U.K. are not common practice but they do exists for some universities. As for studying in the U.K. and then working in the U.S. - well it depends on the nature of your degree - medical, law etc will require further education.
