ok so ive been playing water polo for a few years. i still have some questions though. last year, i was playing in a water polo scrimmage, and i was guarding a girl on my team, and she got the ball, and i put my palm on her shoulder and pushed down, and i tried to get the ball, but then she got all like pissed off and she was like "YOUR NOT ALOUD TO DO THAT" and stuff. is that true or was she just trying to mess me up? what are you aloud to do when your guarding a person who has the ball? also, how do you foul a person and why would you want to do that. in games it seems like (usually) towards the end of the game, if most people are down at one end of the pool, and then theres a turnover and the person with the ball swims down the pool while everyone else is just standing there, and theres a person at the end that the person with the ball is heading for ( a cherry picker) who is on the opposing team, why does the coach and stuff yell at the person to foul the person with the ball? is it to buy them time so that everyone else can get down there?
thanks
