I have a few questions.

1. What does "Novus Ordo Seclorum" mean? Is it anywhere near New World Order or "Novus Ordo Mundi"?

2. Anniut Coeptis [the O and E are combined] means what?

3. Why are there red and blue little lines on the dollar when in the light?

4. Why is there a spider on our dollar in the right corner of the "1" bill, and why is our background of the dollar webs?

5. Why do we have the pyramid as a symbol with an eye?

6. Why are there random numbers around the dollar bill like 4 6's, a H1, FW H 4, and such?

7. Do the little border swirls on the front side underneath George Washington mean anything? It changes on the other side.

8. What is "MDCCLXXVI" mean? Like, it may be a year in Roman Numeral or something, but what is that as a number?

9. What does "E PLURIBUS UNUM" mean?

I don't take Latin, sorry! I am next year.

If you can answer even one, please answer.

Thanks!

  1. 1.Novus Ordo Seclorum signifies "the beginning of the new American Era," which commences from 1776.

2."Providence favors our undertakings" or "Providence has favored our undertakings."

3.Sounds like something to prevent counterfeiting or prove the validity of a bill.

    4. Who knows...I don't think it has any great meaning or significance.

    5. It's the eye of providence and definitely not part of a conspiracy as many believe.

6.It's a classification thing. They use the codes to track bills, like on wheresgeorge.com

    7. I don't know.

    8. It means 1776.

    9. "Out of many, one." Or it means,"Many uniting into one."

  2. To the left is the reverse of the seal which portrays an unfinished pyramid. The separated cap of the pyramid, portraying the all-seeing eye, symbolizes that the United States is still far from finished. The shadow cast by the pyramid from the rising sun represents the undiscovered lands to the west. The sun, which is rising, represents that a new nation has begun. The Latin phrase Annuit Cœptis is located above the pyramid. Taken from the Latin words annuere (to nod, approve) and coepere (to begin, undertake), it literally means "he/it favors the things having been begun." The official translation given by the U.S. State Department, the U.S. Mint, and the U.S. Treasury is "He (God) has favored our undertakings."[4]

Novus Ordo Seclorum is shown on a ribbon below the pyramid and is a phrase taken from the fourth Ecologue of Virgil. In English, the Latin seclorum is the genitive plural form of the word saeculum, meaning "generation, century, or age." Thus the motto can be translated as "a new order of the ages". Written at the base of the pyramid in Roman Numerals is MDCCLXXVI or 1776, the year the United States Declaration of Independence was signed.

The eye above the pyramid is popular among conspiracy theorists, and alleged to have connections with the Illuminati secret society. There have also been associations made from the pyramid to the Illuminati because it has thirteen steps. The eagle on the one-dollar-bill is also carrying thirteen arrows and thirteen leaves. Furthermore, if a star of David is made on the pyramid, the letters will spell out the word "Mason" in reference to the group of Free Masonry.

To the right is the obverse of the Great Seal portraying a heraldic Bald Eagle. In front of the eagle is an unsupported shield which symbolizes the fledgling country's ability to stand on its own, unified by congress; this is symbolized by the bar on top of the shield. Above the eagle's head is a glory with 13 stars. Clutched in the eagle's beak is a ribbon which reads "E PLURIBUS UNUM" (From many, one). It also holds an olive branch (which the head always points towards) and arrows in its claws, symbolizing the desire of peace, but the readiness to fight
