  1. I have XM and love it. I really don't like Sirius. XM has better sound quality, their hardware is better quality, and they have much better repeater coverage. Even where I am we have 2 repeaters.. it works all over the city.. even in buildings.. Check out their website. If you're looking to sign up in Canada, make sure you check out XM Canada's website. www.xmradio.ca

Weather doesn't affect the satellite signal at all. It still comes through perfectly even in storms.

It's not too hard to setup, you can even choose to have it professionally installed.

There is a magnetic roof antenna, a cigarette plug, and a car dock that has to be mounted in the vehicle. You simply drop the radio in the dock and you're ready to go. The easiest thing to do for 2 vehicles is to have a car kit in each vehicle. Then you pick up the radio and put it in the dock of whatever car you are in. No messing with wires, just put it in the dock and take it out! Everything is already hooked up and ready to go.

  2. This has been asked and answered so many times...

Here's what you do, put this same question in the box at the top of the page ("Search for Questions") and you'll get so much feedback you should be able to make a decision. Good luck.

  3. very easy to set up and no not always working approx 95%... but far better than FM.   Cost is $13-17 per mo.  Beware in Canada you won't get all stations.  Canadian law ststes that there hase to be 80% Canadian content so as we get more Can stations we will also get more US stations.   I prefer XM but it's like Ford or Chev?

  4. Each of them has a website with all that information including programming.

They are relatively immune to weather, although in marginal conditions, heavy tree canopy and heavy rain, or tall buildings, you might experience signal fading/shadowing.

Most mobile models are easily moved.

Soon, if all goes well with the merger, XM and Sirius will be one company, but I have not hear how they would handle subscriptions.
