Questions about your G.?

Hi everyone!

I was wondering if I could some answers to some questions about my G. I am doing my G very soon and I am really nervous. I was wondering if anybody could give me any tips on passing your G along with some questions listed below.

1) The place I am going to do my G at has a traffic circle. I had to book it here because eveywhere else is booked. Does anyone know the rules to traffic circles? I noticed that I had to yield every three seconds.

2) I have seen the g exam evaluating list. I did not see anything about traffic circles. Are they allowed to test you on things that aren 't on the examination sheet? (i.e. traffic cirles). Also are you supposed to signal going in and out of traffic circles?

3) Also , the town I am going to is really weird with the speed limit. Most of the town has 40/km spped limit, but a lot of the streets do not also have any speed limit signs. Is it safe to do 50/km if it's not posted?

4) What is the rule on train tracks? Slow down and look both ways before going over them?

5) Also, are you supposed to put on the braking break and turn off your engine for a parallel park?

1) Not sure what you mean by a traffic circle (roundabout perhaps?). Either way I've never been through one I believe, so can't help you here.

2) They can indeed test you on things not on the examination sheet. I remember on my sheet there was no where mentioning reversing, yet they still asked me to reverse and still wrote it down on the sheet, so if I were you I would assume the worst.

3) Anywhere where there are no speed limits is treated as a 50 km/h zone in Ontario.

4) Yes slow down and look in both directions, there is more information in the driver's handbook.

5) Put the parking brake on but don't turn off the engine unless the examiner tells you to.
