Which of the low seeded team in the Western Conference may prove to be most dangerous?
The Western Conference went right to the wire with several teams contesting for the final couple of positions right until the end of the season. All this has done is that they have made the National Hockey League play-offs very unpredictable considering
the fact that now every Western Conference team has a chance of emerging as winners.
There is a very great chance that one of the low seeded teams will win at least get past the first round of the play-offs. The Western Conference has always been close which has meant that tough games that have resulted in a lot of excitement.
Last season seven of the eight teams that qualified for the play-offs had scored 100 plus points. This season last five teams in the Western Conference were separated by a single point. The eighth seed that was decided on the last day is occupied by the
defending champions Chicago Blackhawks. They are looking not only as one of the competitive teams in the Conference but are also among the most dangerous low seeded team in the division.
The Hawks will be in great shape and confidence considering the fact that they have players like Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews in the line-up. Added to this is the fact that they faced the Vancouver Canucks two years ago which resulted in them winning
the series.
Though some might argue as to why they are considered as being the strongest teams. This is simply due to the reason that the teams like the Phoenix Coyotes and Nashville Predators are facing problems offensively while the Los Angeles Kings are out of the
running for being the strongest link due to some key injuries to their players.
Which of the low seeded team in the Eastern Conference may prove to be most dangerous?
The Eastern Conference has the last four teams that are literally equal as they very strong defensively. They can blocks shots, come up with a strong physically display and the most important that they have game changing goal-keepers that can change the
entire outcome of a game. All of the last four teams in the East have the potential of winning a game or even a series during the course of the series.
Out of the last four teams, the Buffalo Sabres are looking the stronger of the two teams. The Sabres are looking in good shape ahead of the game as they are facing a struggling Philadelphia Flyers team that has lost all of their self-confidence.
The Sabres will be hopeful of coming up with a win due to the fact that they are in a good shape and piled up some decent results in the final few games during the course of the regular season. The Flyers will be low on confidence considering the fact that
they occupied the top seed in the Eastern Conference, but lost it at a crucial stage only to finish in second place.
The Flyers have the addition of Chris Pronger to their squad. However, it remains to be seen whether or not he can be the difference maker that the Flyers are hoping that he will be and capable of being.
