Questions ahead of the National Hockey League play-offs - Part 5
How will the Philadelphia Flyers deal with the Sabres if Chris Pronger is not back in the team?
Chris Pronger is one of the important and key players in the Philadelphia Flyers, as stated by the Coach of the Flyers himself. Pronger plays an active and competitive role for the team with his amazing abilities on the ice.
The Flyers are in a similar way a very talented and skilful squad but the fact that Pronger leads them makes him a very important inclusion in the team. He is the key who can surely unlock the way to the coveted Stanley Cup. The Flyers were riding high in
the first half and middle part of the season but the irregularity of Pronger on playing has hurt the Flyers, as seen in the last few weeks of the National Hockey League.
The updates tell that his inclusion in the Flyers squad for the first game is still in doubt and there is a chance that he might miss the game. The Flyers will be hoping he returns, as his absence has been one of the reasons that cost them the top spot in
the Eastern Conference.
Pronger is a very dangerous and productive player when he is fully healthy and is surely one of the game changing personalities in the league. With the skill and talent that he has, it can turn the game around in a matter of minutes and change the destiny
of the Flyers in the running for the play-offs.
The most physical first round series?
The most physical or nastiest first round series undoubtedly will be between the Montreal Canadiens and the Boston Bruins. The two teams are among some of the old teams in the National Hockey League. Not only has this, but their long rivalry dated back to
the 1970’s when their games were nasty rather than a simple ice hockey game.
The rivalry has heated up even further given the recent close battles between the two teams in a few games. The two teams met during the course of the season which turned out to be one of the toughest series between the two during their recent history.
If this series is in any way near the intensity as there was between the two teams during the regular season, this will turn out to be a very entertaining and amazing battle.
Can Carey Price handle the pressure and stress of the play-offs?
There has always been pressure during the course of the Montreal Canadiens history on goal-keepers to do well. Things are no different for Carey Price who is the current starting goal-keeper for the Canadiens. So far it has been pretty good for the starter
who has come up with some brilliant performances and at times almost single-handedly won games for the Canadiens with his saves.
There is a lot of pressure on Price to come up with a strong performance specially after carrying the entire weight of the team on his shoulders. There have been several times where the team looked down and out, but with his talent and splendid skills, he
was able to outclass his opponents and win games for the Canadiens.
Price will undoubtedly be an important part of the Canadiens and will play a major role in their success which he is expected to meet to the fullest given the strong performance during the course of the regular season.
