Questions arising regarding the Bruins-Lightning series of the Eastern Conference Finals Play-offs (Part 2)
We continue from the previous part and start with the first question that Boston Bruins will be facing.
Can the Bruins forget what happened in Game 4 even though they won the fifth game?
Even though Bruins won the fifth game of the series by 3-1 tonight, it will surely be haunted by its performance in Game 4 and the theatrics of that game.
"It's not too hard, we have done it in the past", Bruins’ defenseman, Dennis Seidenberg, said. "We use it as motivation to come out even stronger tonight and do what we didn't do the last two periods".
This was actually the case in the fifth game since Bruins seemed to be a totally different side to what they were in the fourth game. However, it remains to be seen as to what type of performance they come up with when they play the sixth game at the St. Pete Times Forum.
There is no doubt that Bruins are immensely talented and have highly skilled players with the ability to change the outcome of a game within a matter of seconds.
They were desperate when they were 2-0 down against Montreal Canadiens in the first round. The two teams had an intriguing history which had made them archrivals. Canadiens has managed to over-power Bruins a number of times.
Bruins has been under pressure most of the time during the current play-offs. The second round series saw them playing against Philadelphia Flyers, who defeated them by 4-3 last year after leading 3-0 in the series.
However, this time they were calm and composed which enabled them to bag an impressive performance in the series to win it by 4-0.
Currently, they are leading the series and considering their past record, they are well capable of coming up with strong, consistent performances and winning the series.
Can Boston Bruins come out strong in the centre?
Bruins need to come out strong and win games if it wishes to win the series. This is only possible if it’s able to come out strong in the centre.
Their play-making and offence needs to be strong and supportive as it has been in the past while they have to remain strong defensively as well.
Bruins’ defence was unsatisfactory in the fourth game but much better in the fifth. They need to continue on the same road as the fifth game if they are eyeing to win the series and move into the Stanley Cup Finals.
Many players say that the most important thing to win the game is the team’s focus.
"I don't think we moved our feet well enough the second part of that game and we looked like we were skating in mud and they were going 100 miles per hour", forward, Chris Kelly, said.
