I have an interview on friday at a daycare and i was wondering if anybody knew what type of questions they will ask?

  1. most of the time they will give you situations and they want to know how you going to deal with them such as...

    if you were changing Abby at the changing table and johnny started to climb a book shelf what do you do.

    you have biter in your class how can you make sure that this child doesn't bite any one.

    what are the procedures you use to change a child's Dipper

    you have concerns about a child how do you approach the parents about it.

    why do you think we should hire you?

    What are your best qualities?

    how do you handle yourself under stress?

    Have you ever been in a serious situation with a child?

    What is your experience working with children? and explain

    Probably about you last job and why you left it.

    At the end is there anything else you like to say about yourself? always answer this! leave a good note GOOD LUCK!!!

  3. I work at a daycare, and I was asked questions like this,

    1.Do you like kids?

    2.Do you have any younger siblings?

    3.What would you do if two kids started fighting?

    4.How would you get a child who has trouble paying attention, to listen to you?

    5.What do you think are important things to teach a child?

    6.Do you know CPR?  (This may or may not be required)

    7.Are you up to date in all your health shots?

    8.Do you Babysit?

    9.Do you like working with other people?

    There were quite a few scenario questions.  They want to see how you will act in the situation.

    Good Luck, and remember to Smile!  Kids warm up to happy people.  Talk to the kids, get down on their level, like sqwat down and look them in the eye, that way they don't feel like you are talking down to them.  Thats a good tactic for question 4

  4. As assistant director at a private school, the first question that I always ask is "Why do you want to be a teacher?"    I also ask the applicant to give me 5 reasons why they would be a good team member for our school.

  5. How would you discipline a child?  How long have you worked with children?  Can you be creative and come up with activities?  How would you talk to a parent about a problem with their child?  Do you enjoy children?  What is the best way for young children to learn?
