  1. 1. from NY, about a day to the border, depending on where exactly you start and what transportation you use.

2.no, the Canadians are very good at moving your hotel while you sleep and putting you in a different room without waking you.

If you are asking if you make a 2 night reservation at a hotel, yes, they will leave you in the same hotel and the same room for the two consecutive night stay.

  2. Like everything else, it depends where you are in New York and where you are going to in Canada. New York and Canada share a part of the border so it could take as short a time as a fraction of a second to step from one place to the other and upwards. If you are going from Messina to Cornwall, forget the hotel - home is only a little longer than going to the store for a quart of milk.  If you are going to Winnipeg or west, ask your boss for more time off unless you just want to drive in, wave hello and leave again.

Go to Google maps, click on get directions and then put in your starting point and your destination. Not only will it give you directions, it will give you estimated times.

I have to say, your question about hotels has me totally puzzled. Do you think we sneak in and move you in the middle of the night to another hotel room?  Nope!  We don't do that kind of thing. We might be a foreign country to you but we do share a piece of this planet and do things pretty much like everywhere else where hotel reservations are concerned.

Just pulling your leg - you have to admit your wording is a tad strange.  Have a fun visit!

  3. If you are driving from NY CITY to Buffalo/fort erie or niagara falls crossing you are looking at about 8 hours.  If you are from somewhere else check google maps for the exact time.

If you tell the hotel you will be there for 3 days you will have the same room.  They don't make you move.

  4. Yes, if you book a hotel room for however long, they won't switch your rooms on you.

    Are you driving to Canada?

Depends on your transportation and where in Canada you are going to. Canada is a pretty big country!

  5. 1. Relative to the starting point, your question cant be answered.

    2. This is the most mental question ive seen all day, are all Americans this naive??? I sure hope not. Moving tourists out of their hotel rooms is a Canadian policy right??? where did your mind even come up with this???

  6. Only 3 days?  That doesn't leave much time as it takes a day and a half to get there.  I have never had 2 consecutive nights in the same hotel in Canada before, it's unheard of.  But you never know, you might get lucky on that one.
