Question:

Questions for Bigfoot skeptics?

If you're skeptical of the existance of an unknown great ape living among us, I have a few questions that I'd like you to tackle.

Some of the evidence seems too hard to turn away. Many of the footprints found have dermal ridges, equivelent to finger prints. These patterns perserved in the cast of tracks are one of the most persuasive arguments in favor of the existence of Bigfoot. Officer Jimmy Chilcutt, a fingerprint expert, had been researching primate finger prints to find clues that would help him determine race gender and s*x. His extensive study of primate fingerprints had made him one of only a few people in the world with knowledge of primate dermal ridges.

Variations in toe positions, weight shifts, weight distribution, lift off, heel strike, stride, depth of impression, pressure ridges, all of these can be used to detect fakes and to gain information on the creature that made them.

  1. I am actually the one who answered small parts of cool_ad_man's answer, so I will try not to be redundant.

    1) If all of the footage of the sasquatch is fake, why haven't experts, including hollywood costume designers, been unable to make a copy of the costume?

The footage was not that bad, but the bigfoot was so far away that no clear details could be seen. Even if we zoomed in, the clarity would be terrible.

    2) If all of the footage of the sasquatch is fake, why haven't experts been able to duplicate the exact stride of the walk?

Do you know how hard it is to duplicate another person's walk? if you don't, try it sometime. Also, chances are that the costume had something inside to allow that type of bent knee stride.

    3) If the footprints are fakes, why are there dermal ridges in them?

    Already answered (cool_ad_man)

    4) There have been hair follicals found and studied. These samples have been traced to being a member of an ape species, but no ape species currently on record. What could this possibly be?

    5) A group of scientists were conducting a search in Canada around a cabin, and had rocks thrown at them from a far in the forest, where no one was inhabitating the area. Primates are the only animals known, besides human, to use rocks. There are no *known* primates in Canada, besides humans.

As cool_ad_man said, obviously some kids decided to play a prank by throwing rocks at the scientists, knowing they would think it was bigfoot.

  2. 1) If all of the footage of the sasquatch is fake, why haven't experts, including hollywood costume designers, been unable to make a copy of the costume?

well of course you've seen the footage its so (mind my language) crappy that they don't have very much details so they can't replicate it.

its not like the video was taken last year.

    2) If all of the footage of the sasquatch is fake, why haven't experts been able to duplicate the exact stride of the walk?

have you heard of a very burly man who walks a very distinctive way?

someone with back problems can walk differently than normal, and how do you know that that is his actual stride camera angles can trick the eye.

    3) If the footprints are fakes, why are there dermal ridges in them?

do you think someone who wants to fake "bigfoot" tracks would be a clueless nitwit? no. they obviously are some sort of minor experts at that sort.

It would actually be pretty simple to create dermal ridges to "authenticate" a print. The crude way would be to simply etch the lines in on the print before making the mould. A much more convincing way to do it would be to use a computer to alter known animal print ridges to look like the ones you see. Since I have seen shows showing the foot prints I have seen the ridges, and they are so simple, with few complicated patterns that i feel that they could easily be faked.

    4) There have been hair follicals found and studied. These samples have been traced to being a member of an ape species, but no ape species currently on record. What could this possibly be?

show me your sources on that subject.

I have seen MonsterQuest as well as other shows on that subject. Almost all that I have seen have shown that DNA scanning of the hairs links them to either a known ape species or a canine species. Check other sources!!!

I never said that that specific episode confirmed my argument, only that I had seen it as well as other shows on that subject. Also, it seems as if you have seen one show and now you are an expert.

humans did it nitwit! IT WAS A PRANK!

ok i was almost convinced until the last part where he said he needs tissue and hair samples to conferm that it was big foot
