please answer these following question seriously :

1. do you know about "the dead sea scroll" and what do you think of it ?

2. which religion do you think is most similar to Christianity?

3. do you consider the unitary, rastafari, mormon, and the Jenovah Withness as christian?

4. what do you think about the recently discovered ot so-called tomb of Jesus.

5. do you think Christianity is loosing its follower?

6. do you think Christianity should reconsider its value?

  1. 1. yes I have my copy sitting right next to me. I think they are an interesting account of life in a religious sect, but incredibly hard to read.

    2. Non-denominational churches who put no member above another.

    3. Individuals in those churches could be Christian's but they are not Christian's because of their denomination.

    4. Proven to be fake the last time I heard.

    6. Our value to the world can be evaluated and should be, but our value to the spiritual kingdom of God is already set and can not be evaluated.


  2. 1.  They offer validity to the historical context of the Bible and help authenticate the dates that it was written.

    2.  Judeaism.  They were the earliest followers of Christ (aka the Messiah).  They just didn't recognize him when he arrived.  We as Christians have religious roots in ancient Judaism.  

    3.  Unitary:  no opinion.  I don't know enough about them.

    Rastafari: no opinion.  I don't know enough about them.

    Mormons:  Are christians

    Jehovah's Witnesses:  Are Christians.

    4.  There have been two tomb's of Jesus in the past (The Garden Tomb and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher).  Is there now a third possible site?

    5.  I think the world is becoming more secular, not more religious.  This is taking it's toll on all religions.

    6.  you'd have to explain further.  Additionally, "Christian values" have to be pretty generic because of the wide range of varying beliefs among Christians.

  5. 1.  Scrolls, plural.  They give us more of the same information we've had through other sources.  Good stuff.

    2.  No religion is similar to Christianity.  It's the only faith where God comes to earth as man, gives himself up for others, so that we can be reconciled to him for eternity.

    3.  Not Mormons or JW's.  Unsure of what the others believe.

    4.  It wasn't Jesus' (of the Bible) tomb.

    5.  Christianity is growing in every country of the world but the US, no, it's not losing followers.

    6.  Christians should always reflect on their faith and its meaning in their lives.
