Questions for mechanical engineers?

How do you like your jobs? Are you glad you chose engineering as your field? Is it still a good career to choose in north America? Do you feel you make enough money relative to the effort you put into obtaining your degree? What is your job satisfaction and do you see yourself remaining in the field for your entire career?

Engineers have a lot of flexibility in their careers which is nice.  I'm in the oil business and we can't find enough of them.  In terms of money, I dont think you get rich as an engineer but you live comfortably.  Dont go in just for $$$ make sure you like problem solving.
