I sold something on ebay, shipped it through USPS and got a delivery confirmation on it.. when i sign onto www.usps.com and use the number i have it shows the package was delivered on 8/7 at 1:11pm. I called my post office and they told me to tell the buyer to contact his post office, and see whats wrong..

Say if his mail carrier left the package at his home, and maybe someone took it, or whatever the case may be, will i have to refund his money?? PLEASE HELP me with this, i have never had this problem before, and can use any advise...

THANKS EVERYBODY!!!

  1. I agree with Don. Your responsibility ends with the delivery receipt confirmation. You are not responsible beyond that, its not your fault he lives in the ghetto or is trying to lie to you.

the only other option is that it needs to be dropped off to a person.

    (but thats for the future)

  2. As long as you have the confirmation from the post office you do not have to refund the money.  Send your buyer a copy of the confirmation and tell them to please check with their post office.  That is the end of your responsibility.
