  1. I am also moving to Paris this year, I saw you were thinking about attending MUFE academy, I am also planing on attending there in the fall.  I have never been to Paris either!! so this question would benefit me as well!!!

I really have not dont a lot of research to tell you the truth, I just decided about a week ago, so I am in the process of figuring out what I am going to do and where I am going to live.  I live in NC right now. you can e-mail me if you like aej0531@aol.com

  2. "is it a relaxed city or is it a fast paced city?"

-> Depends on where you live. For french people it's a big noisy city...But for an american I think it's pretty relaxed. Only 2,5 millions inhabitants.

"- do you/ did you like living there?"

-> Yes very much, even if it's very very expensive. There's a lot of great museums, a lot of theatres, movies theatres...

-> London, Strasbourg, Lyon, Bordeaux, Marseille, Toulouse (not on all the "path"), maybe other cities.

"is it there a lot of cafes, open markets, bakeries?"

    -> Yes, everywhere.

"does a person living in paris usually need a car?"

-Not at all, unless you're crazy. The subway and the buses go everywhere, and you also can use a bike. Paris is not so big.

"- any other information on living in paris would be extremely useful!"

->Very expensive, especially rents. But very beautiful and enjoyable.

  3. -is it a relaxed city or is it a fast paced city?

Depends what time, where and your personal occupations -

Some places in Paris can be very peaceful even at rush-hours

    - do you/ did you like living there?

As most of parisians I'm there for work - Paris is a metropole and as such enables you to have access to "ALL"

This is not easily understandable if you always lived in a small city anywhere in the world

    - where does the TGV go? like what cities? other countries?

Germany, Belgium, UK, Spain, Italy, Switzerland

    - is it there a lot of cafes, open makets, bakeries?

For you enough for three centuries, before you know them all

    - does a person living in paris usually need a car?

Public transportations - Cars have a hard life in Paris, your driver's nerves too

    - any other information on living in paris would be extremely useful!

It will take you a long time to get yourself used to the style of Paris  but then one day you'll know that you're parisian, when as every parisian you start speaking about province with dedain </ ;o)))

    thank you
