Questions for stereo equipment?

can you recommend several types or brands of stereo equipment with the great sound quality? I want to buy a home-used stereo equipment or hi-fi but dont have much idea for that. Could you give me some opinion for that? thanks a lot.

Denon, Onkyo, Klipsch, and Cambridge Soundworks.  Four brands my dad uses and refuses to get anything else.  Sorry, I am not in San Fran, but some authorized online shops are Crutchfield (www.crutchfield.com), J and R (www.jandr.com) and for CS www.hifi.com.  All these places are gonna be close to full market retail though.

Just look for a Paradigm dealer in your area.  Paradigm speakers are made in Canada and they are the best value out there.  Go to there website and use their dealer locator.  Most Paradigm dealers are great stores with very educated sales people that will help put together a great system.  Paradigm's website is www.paradigm.com.  I don't work for Paradigm but I do work for a Paradigm dealer.
