I am leaving to Ireland for a week. Could you give me certain details? I will be in Larne for business discussion.

1. What can I buy very cheap & where can I buy?

2. Any good Indian vegetarian hotels and temples?

3. How much should I carry (Britain pounds) for a week?

4. Any good electronic item that I can buy?

5. If you can give me any extra information, that will be so great of you...

Thanks in advance!!

  1. 1. Nothing. UK and Ireland are not cheap places at all.

    2. None at all. None in the whole of Northern Ireland never mind Larne.

    3. Assuming your accomodation is paid for with breakfast included, £200 should be more than enough for a week.

    4. Not in Larne, the Abbeycentre in Newtownabbey has Argos, Currys, etc where you can get electrical items, or you can go into Belfast.

    5. I live near Larne and the place is a dump, there is very little in it, it is a medium sized town, which as another person said, is best known as being a port between Northern Ireland and Scotland. Other than that, all it has are a few dodgy bars, one shopping street and a derelict cinema.

  2. I live in Larne.

Not a lot of good shops in Larne to buy anything.

    No temples at all

    One Indian restaurant.

3 hotels, but I would recommend Dan Campbell's 028277222. Good b&b pub. Rates reduced if you are staying longer and the grubs great.

Money, carry whatever we have banks and hole in the wall machines.

Tv etc You should price your home town first

Email if any further questions. Liam

  3. You may have left the British mainland but you are still in the UK. Forget about Indian vegetarian hotels and temples, this region is predominently Protestant or Catholic.  As for electronic bargains, ditto, same shops Dixons, Currys etc.  The currency is still UK sterling pounds but with N.Ireland notes, the coins are the same. Remember to use up the notes before you return as English shops will rarely exchange them. There is nothing to do in Larne as it is literally a huge Ferry Port for Scotland, but Belfast is 1/2 hour away which is a buzzing city. Thats where you should get your hotel for the week.
