Question

Hi. Im a F-1 visa holder marrying a US citizen.

questions on I-485. 1) Do I need foreign birth certificate?

2) my criminal history is clear, so there is no need for police report. Right?

3) What about the police clearance? how do I get it?

4) what application type am I in on part 2?

1)on part 1, what do I put under Address-C/O?

1) Yes, include the copies of the Original in your language and copies of the English translated

Submit a copy of your foreign birth certificate or other record of your birth that meets the provisions of secondary evidence found in Title 8, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), 103.2(b)(2).

Translations. Any document containing foreign language submitted to USCIS shall be accompanied by a full English language translation which the translator has certified as complete and accurate, and by the translator's certification that he or she is competent to translate from the foreign language into English.

2) No need for police report. If you really want to, you can go to police station where you have lived at least past 6 months, and get a letter stating that you have no record, but it is not necessary.

3) Police Clearance is only applicable if you are filing I-485 Supplement

4) a. That's for US Citizen spouse.

1) Whatever the address you can get mail for the next 8-10 months.
