Questions on physical therapist?

i just graduated high school and i want to become a physical therapist.

i need step by step on what i need to do to become a physical therapist. like what should i be doing right now. i am clueless! i dont know anything about what kind of education or requirements for the career. please anything advice would be great.

  1. Go to your local community college and set up a meeting with a counselor...they will sit down with you and advise you on the best path to take to pursue your goal. You most likely will have to take prerequisite courses before you get into a physical therapy program.

For general career info:  http://www.bls.gov/oco and can search 'physical therapists' or such.  Please keep in mind that admissions into a pt school is typically very competitive.  Also please note that 'human anatomy' doesn't usually transfer as does the general anatomy and physiology, and it's best to check with the individual schools (and only those that are accredited within the industry) as to which prerequisites do transfer.  Physics is among the prereqs required for admissions into a pt school.
