  1. Read ALL of this information. Do what it tells you.

  2. High score on everything.

    SAT, ACT, ASVAB, GPA, etc.

Also, really good Physical Training (PT) scores.

1.5 Mile run in 10 minutes is good. 60 push ups and 70 sit ups in 1 minute is good.

Also, try to participate in some type of cadet program such as AFJROTC or CAP.

(Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps, Civil Air Patrol)

This will get you leadership experience, and help you prepare mentally for the AFA.

If you have any questions on the cadet programs, hit me up on AIM Coldshteel88

  3. In a nutshell for high school: be a scholar, athlete, and leader. Play varsity sports, be involved with clubs and organizations, and make good grades. Try to serve in leadership positions like President, Treasurer, and such. Being a Team Captain helps also. Be well-rounded and stay busy.

Do not wait until your junior or senior year like some. It will be too late then. Perhaps, talk to your guidance counselor or contact USMA/USNA/USAFA when you begin high school.

    -Army Officer and Pilot

  4. Behave yourself, and don't get into trouble. Take lots of math and science classes and study enough to get good grades (A's) in all your high school classes. Become involved in extracurricular activities and sports. Keep your goal in mind at all times and don't let it slip away. If you want it enough you will achieve it.

In short, think about what type of person would make a good officer and a good pilot...and then do your best to become that kind of person. The Air Academy only takes the best. If you've decided at this young age that this is what you want, you've already placed yourself among the top candidates.  So, start now, live the dream, and go for it.

  5. My friend's dad actually teaches there and I have another friend who graduated and is serving in the Air Force now...

You need great grades (4.0 or better).

Get involved in a variety activities (music, sports, art, SGA, etc).

Have good SAT and ACT scores (take it at Least 3 times... they only pull your highest scores).

Have good ASVAB scores (you can take it through local schools, just ask your guidance counselor).

Make sure you know the process (you need a recommendation from your Congressman).

If your school has AFJROTC, JROTC, or CAP then get involved with it or find out if another school in your area has it (ask your guidance counselor).

Do NOT get into trouble. No underage drinking, smoking, drugs, etc.

You need to start at the beginning of high school and keep working hard all 4 years. Good luck!

  6. you gotta get good grades.

they dont take dumasses, because they get shot, and in term get others shot.

you have to get all high marks, usually, all straight a's.

from there on, you need to be in shap, and even do well in all physical activities. if you prove yourself in the highschool to also be athletic, they might ask you before you ask them.

goto a army recruiting place and just ask, just remember to not be intimidated.

if your not in shape, and cant run miles, dont sweat it too much, you dont run much in planes.

unless after the army you become a stuardess or somthing lol.

  7. good grades, high sat scores, and try jrotc in high school also as a start

  8. Great grades. Outstanding grades. ******* fantastic grades. Working knowledge of the military; aircraft, weapons, etc. Top physical condition. Ability to handle stress. No problems with authority. Be prepared for the mandatory commitment at the end. Be a leader. Be prepared, in general.
