  1. 1. I would say the movies. Stroker Ace and Days of Thunder brought NASCAR to the big screen and to a lot of people who probably never watched it.

    2. Tracks have gotten faster and (most important) safer. Better track surfaces, safer barriers, Hans device, COT.

    3. Ticket prices have gone up over the years, just like everything else.

    4. The Team payroll varies from Team to Team, so I can't really give you an answer on this.

NASCAR.com has great sections on drivers, races, statistics, etc.

Good luck, and i hope you get an A.

  2. 1. The death of Dale Earnhardt Sr.

    Read it here:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Da...

    2. Well, some tracks were removed from the venues visited every year, such as Rockingham and North Carolina. Also, the venues are located all across America, from Michigan to Arizona, to Texas and Virginia

Sorry, 3 and 4, you have to rely on somebody else...

  3. daytona 500 like everyone els said

umm tracks havent changed much some new tracks have been added such as chicago land umm the brickyard(indiana) awile back and some others i cant remember

tickets are way up 100+$ for homestead tickets turn1 about 10 rows up i would say dont rember not the greatest seats

    payroll has gone up

  4. The first ever Daytona 500 that was televised got it the mass appeal

some tracks (darlington, bristol, las vegas) have been repaved

    ticket sales have not changed

team payroll is much higher now

  5. I agree with WooleyBooley - you're asking a lot!  This link should help you some:

    Good luck!

  6. Wow, what a great subject for a report! :-)

In addition to what has been posted previously, try this website.

EDIT: After thinking about your question I do have a comment about the tracks. Not necessarily their location, but new technology has changed many things about the tracks NASCAR runs at. Simple things like lights make racing at night possible and therefore changes way the cars handle on the track. Car set ups between night and day racing at the same track can be, well, night and day. Safer barrier technology has improved the safety of all the tracks, but at the loss of some racing area, which makes racing on it different than in previous years. Variable banking has made drastic changes (some say good: Homestead- some say bad:Bristol) to how some tracks race. Hope this gives you some extra ideas that might be useful for your report.

Good luck and I hope you get an "A"!

  7. http://www.NASCAR.com should be able to help you out with the history we don't supply, also go to the various track websites and those of individual drivers to get the full picture.  Look for the trivia questions posted right here as well as these nuggets can be very informative.  Quite a few of us fans are multi-generational; we heard it first at home on radio and were taken to the races as kids along with mom and dad as auto racing is pretty straighforward, give or take a left turn or two, and appeals to the whole family unlike the more "guys only" sports such as football.  As NASCAR gained appeal and momentum from television as well as word of mouth and other media coverage evolved, we did go from dirt tracks to more formal "arenas," more tracks added to the circuit, admission prices went up commensurate with demand and of course teams expanded to meet the new technologies and there is definitely money in the sport for the best drivers and support crews like any other growing sports interest.

  8. Wow! That's way to much to answer here. What gave NASCAR momentum is when the first NASCAR race televised live across the USA was in black & white, a Daytona 500.

Maybe try Google, "NASCAR history" I'm guessing.
