Question:

Questions regarding photography?

So far a lot of people have recommended for me to get a Canon camera. I'm really into photography, although I don't know much about it but am willing to learn.

Which Canon camera would you recommend?

People have mostly said these ones:

Camera: Canon EOS-1D Mark III

Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL

Canon EOS 350D DIGITAL

Canon Rebel EOS XTi or XSi

I'm not sure which one is best.

Oh and also, I was looking up cameras and it said that one was $1000 but it was the body only. What does that mean? =/

Anything regarding canon cameras/ photography/ camera lenses would be helpful.

  3. Hello,

I am a firm believer in Canon products and there reliability. I have to ask first how much are you willing to spend?

Also, when they say body only-that means you get the part that the lenses fit on. That's it. So if you see cameras with lenses on them-just think of what it would look like without the lens on the camera. Thats the body.

Also, if you do end up getting a camera go to www.bhphoto.com. They are the best. Alot of your professional people will tell you the same.

If you search on this site you will see alot of equipment that will have reviews about the product. Think of what type of photography you want to do-then you will know more about what you want in camera equipment.

    Best Regards,

    Lewis

  4. for Canon EOS-1D Mark III.. we're talking big $$$$$...

why not go for 450D.. it has Live View function (suitable for difficult angle)

why not try the link below... you can do comparison on those DSLR (and other brands too)

body only means that no lens come with the purchase.

for starter.. perhaps a 50mm f1.8 canon is a good pair of glass with good performance + cheap!

  5. I  strongly recommend a Canon EOS 450D

its cheap, but delievers a professional quality, easy to use etc.

    Check it out : )

"Body only" means that the lens isnt included, but you can find deals where as the whole package is included.

  6. Well i recommend from my experience i suggest you to get Nikon40X which is a basic model for beginners and which is an absolutewly stunning with easy to handle etc. When u decide this u can even spend ur remaining bugs for lens.Lens plays a major role and not the camera dude.

  7. You wont go wrong with Canon,the350D has been out for a few years and can be picked up cheap enough, but the latest version is the 450D,a nice camera that now uses an SD card instead of the compact flash card used in the 350D,it has a lot of nice features and easy to use once you are into it,they both come in Kit form meaning they have lenses with them and that's enough to get you started, after a while you can add to your outfit by buying better lenses etc.  Try photo.net for more info. and many pictures from hundreds of photographers, the site also has loads of useful advice free of charge, good luck.

  8. Those are all fine cameras- get one that will fit your budget.

Body only means it does not come with a lens.  I have the 350D (Canon Rebel XT) and it came with a "kit lens".   Check out Canon's website.
