I will be taking my CA permit test in a bit, and I have heard that there are certain questions that result in an automatic fail. Can anyone enlighten me as to what they might be so I can study? Thanks in advance:)

  1. It will be questions from the CA Driver Handbook. If they ash questions. The chances of you getting same question is un likely. They will tell which way to turn. And you need to follow the rule for the road. They take point off when you don't do it. They will tell what you did worng when the test is over.

  2. on my test there were no automatic fail questions. I think if you got more wrong than the set number, you fail.

    just make sure you know your safety stuff. like changing lanes, and right-of-way

  3. I don't think there are any questions on the written test that can result in an automatic fail for answering them wrong.

    On your driving test:

    If you make a critical driving error (CDE), you will be given an unsatisfactory test score (failure). A CDE is a dangerous or potentially dangerous driving maneuver. Examples of critical driving errors include:

        * Driving at least 10 mph over or under the speed limit.

        * Failing to look over your shoulder when pulling into traffic or changing lanes.

        * Running a red light.

        * Failing to use windshield wipers when necessary because of rain.
