Question:

Quick Books Or Peach Tree?

I do bookkeeping for a small retail business.

So I have been using QB 2005 basic for about 2 1/2 years now.

I spent $200 a little over 2 years ago.

Now after the end of last month they blocked on line banking and other useful features to basically "force" me to upgrade.

Back when I first got it, I has a tech support question about it.

The CSR was more interested in upgrading me than answering my question.

So now I'm considering saying bye bye to QB just because of their "hard sell" tech support" techniques (which I no longer have on a 3 year old product.)

Or switching over to Peach Tree and hoping for better support.

  1. Peach Tree will not be much better (I tried--for the same reason), and QB is much easier to use.  I would upgrade.  There are many professionals out there offering QB help, so you do not have to subscribe to QB support.  I know what you mean about their tactics, and if there was a better option I would be all over it.  However, you should pass the additional cost to your client.

  2. Peachtree "ROCKS".  It is so much better than QB.  Give it a try - you'll be very, very impressed.
