If you are in a league (with standard scoring) and you had a UTIL (utility spot) which can be occupied by any position; QB, RB, WR, TE, D/ST, or a K. What position would it be?

A QB right? They score more points than other players of different positions drafted in proximity to them. Any stories from experience would be appreciated, thanx.

  1. Wow, I've only seen the Util spot for baseball and basketball...but yeah, the two QB scenario would be nice... my leagues only show a slot for WR/RB, so if you can slide any player into a "util" spot, make it a QB, unless its Ryan Leaf...LOL

  2. Depends what QB were talking about.  I would have some recievers and running backs ranked higher than some quarterbacks.  In most cases I would have a quarterback but I would not hesitate to start a RB/WR instead of a QB.

  3. most likely QB.  I'm not sure how your scoring system is set, but in my league, Matt Hasselbeck (decent QB) had 231 points, only 4 less than Adrian Petersen (top 2 RB).  7 of the top ten scorers were QBs.  If your league counts return yards and TDs for defense you might want to look for a defense as an alternative.

  4. I agree on the QB thing, print this web sites' 2008 over all projected stats/$$$ values for a quick/free cheatsheet..(It's nice because it also projects total fantsy points for the year.)~~~G{}{}d Luck!

  6. its kind of a best available situation.  But yes most likely you would go with 2 qbs.  In fact in a league like this drafting 2 solid qbs early is a must as thats gonna give you a leg up, especially if qbs are getting 6 point for passing td.
