Quick GERMAN: Can I have a few common verb translations, please?

Question

Can I have a few common verbs, conjugated for present tense "she" (she drinks, she understands)

...but first, tell me if it's true that the present tense in German is equal to the English present progressive tense (she IS drinking, she IS understanding) please!
