How do i prove this:

If an altitude is drawn from the right angle of a right triangle,

then the two triangles thus formed are both similar to the original triangle.

I know i have to use the AA similarity postulate, but I can only prove that one set of angles is congruent. What do i do?

  2. is the triangle a 90,45,45 triangle

  3. You will have a right angle in each one (altitudes are perpendicular).  And one other angle will be part of two different triangles (reflexive)
