My family is going to get another computer, and it looks like we might get a MAC. However, there are a few things I need to know about it first.

1. Does it have trouble sending E-mails with attachments (pics, powerpoints) to Windows computers?

2. If I save something to a flash drive on a MAC, will it open on a windows computer?

3. Does it really have less viruses than a Windows?

  1. no,ye,ye

  2. 1. You shouldn't have any trouble sending emails, pics or anything else, for power point presentations make sure u also buy Microsoft Office 2008.

    2. It depends, if u save it in a windows compatible format then yes why not for example a quicktime movie may not be played on windows until u install quick time player on Microsoft Windows but everything should usually be easily transferrable.

    3. In numbers yes but that doesn't make u safe as long as u use Vista with UAC enabled u shouldn't catch a virus on Vista either but since OS X has a fewer number of them u could easily install any software without worrying, but security all depends on the user, if u forget about security on Mac OS X u can get explotied there to.

Remember the only reason Macs r secure is cause their OS and not cause of the machine it self.
