Quick Question, i just turned 18, and my g/f is about to turn 16, if we had s*x how would the law look at it,?

I Live In The State Of Missouri, and i looked it up, and the age of consent is 17, but im confused cause im only 18 and not 21, someone please tell me, cause i personally think that it wouldnt matter since our ages are close to each others and if she did do it, its willing on both sides to have s*x so it wouldnt be stat rape

It's really more of a situation of, how likely are her parents going to press charges against you. Is it realistic that they would?

Willing or not doesn't matter.  It would still be considered statutory rape.  If your state's age of consent is 17, then she can NOT consent until she is 17.  (I personally have no idea what Missouri's consent age is, I am just going off what you told us.)  Even if she says yes, in the courts eyes she is not old enough to make that call.  18 is an adult, 16 is not.

Sorry but you are wrong.  You are considered an adult at 18, and she is still considered a child at 16.  If anything went wrong, this could kick you in the butt.

The legal age fo consent is 17 - so your girlfriend can't legally say, "Yes," so if you are engaging in sexual relations with her, it will be rape - even if you had done it prior to turning 18.

I have a friend who was 18 and had s*x with a girl he knew who was 16.  It was consensual on both sides, but she ended up getting pregnant.  Her parents flipped out, pressed charges and my friend went to jail for a year. Now even though this happened about 8 years ago, he still has to register as a s*x offender for having s*x with a minor.  Totally not worth it.  You should wait until you are both legal.

okay i was in this same position. where i'm from the legal age to have s*x is 16. my boyfriend was 18 at the time. He and I had s*x and I ended up getting pregnant with my being underage we had to go to court and this and that. unfortunately the court ordered us not to be around each other until i was 18. (we could be around each other if my parents were supervising us but that's it) they asked if my parents wanted to press charges and i begged them not to so they didn't. it broke my heart cause he was my first love. don't take the risk of getting caught and something happening. it's not fun and the parents don't want to get involved in all of that drama!!! good luck and wait honey!!!
