  1. feudalism is basically farming. peasents that farm to earn a living. but it is usually in the form of a hierchy socity. and they are at the bottom.

  2. i just studied this in history. haha.

feudalism is a political and social system in Rome.

The nobles offered protection and land in return for service to the vassals.

  3. Feudalism is the social and economic system of the Middle Ages, in which people were divided into specific classes depending on their birth, and each class owed duties/responsibilities to the others.  (eg., the peasants paid taxes - usually in the form of goods, not money - to the nobles, in exchange for military protection).

The 4 classes were the peasants, the nobles (knights, earls, etc.), merchants (the few people living in cities), and royalty (dukes, kings/queeens).  You couldn't marry anyone outside your class, or move out of your class.  The clergy fit into neither of these classes, but were generally recruited from the peasants.

  4. Tiered class system of medieval Europe in which land owned by someone of higher status was lived on and worked by someone of lower status in return for loyal service. The monarch was at the top of the pyramid, the peasants at the bottom. Feudalism began on the Continent as far back as the 8th century as a means of ensuring protection for powerful rulers against other powerful rulers. During the Middle Ages, certain provinces or countries recognised other kings as their feudal overlords.
