The question asks:

What is the decimal value of 11111 if it is represented as a 5-bit signed integer number in 2’s complement representation?

Please explain answer because I have several similar problems.

  1. I believe it's -1.  The left most digit represents -16, and going to the right, 8, 4, 2, 1.
