Quick U.S. passport question...?

How much does it cost to get a passport made(im applying for a new one, not a renewal)? If I apply next week, sometime between the 21 and the 24 of april, will I get it before my trip to Canada in early-mid July?

It is currently taking 4 weeks to process passports. Se 1st site below.  You do NOT need to pay for expedited service.  Several people n answere said  YESTERDAY, that they got their passport in only 3 weeks, without paying the expedited fee.  You have over 10 weeks before you need yours.   If you are FLYING to Canada, you must have a passport. If you are traveling by LAND, you do NOT need a passport, tho it is good to go ahead and get it.  See 2nd site below for current info.See 3rd site for all passport application info.

Better pay for the quick upgrade usually $60.00, then one check to the state department for $67.00 then a check to the county you live in, I paid $35.00. It's a racket all right.
