Quick and easy mole question

When calculating the mole used of, say, AgNO₃(aq), but in the balanced equation, it's 2AgNO₃(aq), do I calculate it as

n(2AgNO₃) and its molar mass as 2(108.87) 28 6(16)

or n(AgNO₃) and its molar mass as 107.87 14 16

Any help is appreciated!

  1. heya once again,

in this instance, to make it easier, 1stly u get the molecular mass of the cmpd. then u multiply it with the value given in the equation.

so in this instance, u get  2xmolecular mass.

another manner, will be to multiply by 2 the molar mass of each element which u get from the periodic table and add em all up

thus u have 2Ag, 2N and 6O added up to get the molecular mass.

u just change the values as according to the eqn.

    Hope this helps... =)
